2. Fish Market (Kashi no Ichi)

Located 10 minute walk from Shimizu Station, visitors can taste fresh and delicious seafoods in the fish market. It consists of "Ichibakan" and "Magurokan" and standing next to each other. In "Ichibakan", on the one hand, more than 20 shops offer marine products, fresh vegetables and tofu. On the other hand, "Magurokan" has restaurants that offer special cuisines with fresh seafoods. You can enjoy a reasonable fresh seafood bowl.

3. Shimizu Sushi Lane (inside the S-Pulse Dream Plaza)

As the first sushi theme park in Japan, the Shimizu Sushi Lane consists of "Shimizu Sushi Yokocho" (admission free) and "Sushi Academy" (admission fee required) on the 2nd floor. In the "Shimizu Sushi Yokocho", you can try various kinds of genuine Sushi.

Shizuoka Oden

4. Shizuoka's Specialty "Shizuoka style Oden"

The uniqueness of "Shizuoka style Oden" is the dark broth. It is a Japanese style stew with soup stock extracted mainly with beef tendon, and each restaurant and shop have their original soup. The ingredients, such as hanpen (black fish cake), beef tendon, offal, konnyaku, daikon raddish and eggs, are skewed. They are served with fried seaweed and ground fish.

5. Mount Fuji view from Miho-no-Matsubara

"Miho no Matsubara" is located in Miho Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture and well-known for its great scenic view. It was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage in 2013 together with Mount Fuji. The majestic scenery of Mount Fuji from its seacoast is amazing and worth seeing! It appears to have more chance in winter to admire beautiful Mount Fuji in with the clearer sky. In case you are traveling in summer, there may be less clouded in the early morning.

Numazu Port

"Numazu Port" is always crowded but a popular tourist destination.

Mishima Taisha Shrine

"Mishima Taisha Shrine" is known as the place with spiritual energy.
After making a prayer, we recommend you to move on your right-hand side facing a hall of worship to look at it from the side!
Another feature of Mishima Taisha Shrine is its large shrine chamber. It is 23 meter tall with 4 meter of Japanese gargoyles and considered as one of the largest in Japan. The shape of its roof is unique as is like a book turned down.
Furthermore, it is well-known as the shrine that Minamoto no Yoritomo worshipped for divine assistance while he was exiled to Izu.
